First let me just say "Thank You" to all the wonderful and comforting words from so many of you. After my update on the 18th I was inundated with well wishers who not only lifted my spirits but renewed my strength. I am grateful for each of you. Life can be very difficult at times and many of you are facing challenges right now, as well. It is comforting to know that people care and that we are not alone.

Yes, it's true it's National Scrapbook Day this Saturday and we have lots of fun activities planned. Feel free to join us for a "FREE" all day crop. Spend an hour or spend the day. We'll have lots of In Store Bargains and Specials, Make & Takes, and a Mini Organizational Class is also on the agenda! This has been a difficult week for me personally, and as I sit down to write this update, I'm still not quite sure what to say. We each face adversity in our lives and I believe all things happen for a reason. How we handle what faces us, shows the truest test of our character. Such is true in my life, and the life of my family. We have been faced with personal, professional and financial loss this week that will have a dramatic impact on our lives. While hurt and frightened, we are not defeated... We stand on hope and faith and are called to the scripture that tells us "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,...plans to give you hope and a future...You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11,13

As a parent I couldn't be more proud of my children and their ability to understand the world we live in, the true meaning of integrity, and the strength and foundation of their faith. In a world where "what is right can be wrong" and "what is wrong, can be right" it can be difficult to comprehend how "unfair" things can happen... but they do. I read Jenny's blog today and was comforted to know... She not only gets it... but she understands it and believes it. What more can a parent ask for, or be proud of? I can add nothing else. If you have a chance read her blog, I hope you too, will find inspiration.

I know... I know... I've been MIA for awhile! Things have been crazy, crazy for me. My husband had his second knee replacement in 8 weeks, I've had a few minor things to deal with, and Wedding Save The Dates, Showers and other stuff have kept the midnight oils burning. Top everything off with daily UPS shipments of 10 boxes or more, and it's a wonder we even know our names! Now we have our big Weekend crop to finish planning, National Scrapbook Day and our summer sizzlers... page contests, anniversary promotions etc. etc. The merry-go-round really never stops!

Summer Workshops

We know that the economy has affected everyone... we are not blind to gas prices, rising insurance costs, loss of jobs and all the other adverse effects it has had on all of our lives. What we don't want is to loose the joy and passion that comes from our hobby, because we're afraid we'll be tempted to spend money we don't have, on all the new things in the store!  In an effort to be financially responsible and still find ways to enjoy or hobby we are working on summer workshops that will show you how to use the products you already own and still create new projects using new ideas and techniques. We promise a fun filled summer, lots of activities at minimal costs.
