Merry Christmas One and All! As we approach these final days before Christmas I want to wish each of you a blessed holiday. Whether in your house, it's Christmas or Hanukah, I hope the day is filled with the warmth and love of friends and family. Thank you for the joy and friendship that you have brought to me. To new friends and to old friends, I wish you joy, health and happiness this season.

I have found myself rather scattered this year, short on time, but with a long list, of things to do. I thought I had given myself permission to forgo some things, but I found myself (at 4:00 am this morning) feeling guilty about not sending out my Christmas cards this year. So I quickly came up with an idea, sat down and wrote a little poem, and spent several hours before dawn... addressing, printing, stamping and preparing 100 cards to get in the mail before Thursday! I thought I'd share my little poem with you all because, it really is true... as a store owner, everyone else really does come first.

Twas the night before Christmas
in a retailers house...
Not a present was purchased,
and she felt like a louse!

No cards had been written,
no baking was done...
For the month of December,
had been spent on the run!

Her hours were spent in her store,
helping others,
Both young ones, and old ones,
and lots of new mothers.

For everyone else's needs,
must come first.
The life of a retailer,
I've found, is my curse.

After many long hours and
very sore feet,
I find myself facing
a holiday so sweet.

Though late with my wishes,
my desire remains,
that the spirit of this season
will forever, reign.

New Year's Day Celebration: Yes, we are definitely doing something special, on New Year's Day. Many of you have been asking about our traditional sale. I can only tell you that no, there's nothing traditional about it! We have something so special and so incredibly fun, that you definitely won't want to miss it! We will distribute bag stuffers next week, and will send out a special E-mail on Sunday, December 31st. Be sure to watch for it. We'll explain all the details then. I promise you, those who know me, know I like to do things in a big way. I think you will all enjoy our little twist to this event. It certainly will kick off the New Year in style!

Happy Holidays! Yes, I know I didn't get an E-mail update out last week! Tis the season, you know! Too many things to do and too little time! We went straight from EKstrav into preparing for Ali and Donna, and here we are, 11 days before Christmas, and still fighting the clock! I have so much to tell you that I may just have to hit the highlights in this update, and elaborate on the details next week!

We had an incredible time at EKstravaganza, in Las Vegas. We got to preview and play with all the new product being released by EK Success for the next six months. I can hardly wait to share with you all the great new things on the horizon. We certainly have some awesome workshops planned that will blow your socks off! And yes, of course we came back with product samples. Just wait till you see all the goodies, they bestowed upon us! I have a feeling that lots of lucky people will be receiving many of these items in the days and weeks ahead! I promise to share more details later. We also got the scoop on EK's alliance with Martha Stewart and her new craft line. Exciting things are on the horizon. We have a special invite just for EK's Elite stores, while we're at CHA in January. More details on this later.

We also managed to find some spare time to hit the slot machines. Imagine that??? And Jenny was lucky enough to walk away a winner. Me, not so lucky, but I had a great time losing it! Can you say HOT SHOTS? Just ask Jenny to explain!

We are so thrilled and excited to offer our online store now! Yep, it's up and running and we have already had lots of orders. How neat is this! If you want it, and we don't have it in-stock, all you have to do is click on the shopping cart on our home page and start shopping. It's as easy as 1-2-3! Since we don't have the same overhead online, as we do in the store, we are also able to offer better pricing on some items. For this reason, your frequent buyer punch card  can not be used for these purchases, but the convenience of being able to shop in your jammies for less money, should make up for that! January Calendar: I know... it's not posted yet, but I promise, soon. I will tell you that back by popular demand is Paula's Organizational Class. This class was sold out, with standing room only last year, and I believe there are almost 20 on the wait list now. So if you are interested, mark your calendar now for Saturday, January 13th 10:30 am - 1:30 pm. We'll provide all the details later. Don't panic and think you need to call right now to reserve your spot. We promise we'll do 2 classes if necessary. what a great way to start off the new year, organized and committed to getting those projects done!
