Twas the night of Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't sleep... 
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep. 
The leftovers beckoned...the dark meat and white, 
but I fought the temptation with all of my might. 
 

Tossing and turning with anticipation, the thought of a snack became infatuation. 
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door, and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore. 
I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, stuffing with gravy, green beans and tomatoes. 

I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground. 
I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky, with a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie 
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees...Happy eating to all -- pass the cranberries, please.

I hope you each had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a very special time celebrating with family and friends! My family certainly enjoyed our time together. We seem to have so little of it these days.

No sooner do we celebrate Thanksgiving, when we are faced with the Christmas Season. We were busy all weekend with early holiday shoppers. As you can see by the store photos... we are ready to help you in any way we can,  prepare for the busy days ahead. We have lots of great gift ideas to make gift giving easy for you. EKSTRAVAGANZA: Jenny and I are packed and ready to go to Las Vegas. As an EK Success Elite Store, we will spend the remainder of the week as guests of EK, at Caesars Palace! We'll be treated to all kinds of new classes and product previews. Don't worry, we'll share all that we see and learn, when we return! I'm sure we'll also manage to find time for a little slot machine action as well!

We are counting the days till Ali and Donna arrive! If you haven't purchased tickets for their classes yet, be sure to do so. Also, don't forget to buy raffle tickets! We extended the drawing for another week. The proceeds go to the Alzheimer's Association, and you could be the lucky winner, who joins us for dinner with Ali and Donna, on Friday night, Dec 8th! They will be here on Saturday Dec 9th for their book signing. If you don't already have any of their books, not to worry... we have plenty on hand!

Other Exciting News: Drum roll please! We are so excited to be able to offer you another service! An On-Line Store! Yep, and one that will have almost 50,000 skus of products available as well. We'll even have items available, that we don't carry in the store. You will be able to shop in our store, pay for your purchases safely and securely on line, and the merchandise will be shipped directly to your home or office. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! The holiday season has officially arrived! The traffic is crazy, decorations are beginning to appear, and the stores are busy with shoppers. Don't you just love this cooler weather too? Nothing like sweaters, and football games on Turkey Day! As we prepare for this busy time of the year, I hope we all will stop to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and it's meaning. We have so much to be thankful for. I wish each of you and your families, a season of joy, filled with memories to cherish.

Before you head off to the mall after Thanksgiving, remember to stop in and redeem your Turkey Bucks! You can redeem them Friday, Saturday or Sunday. We will also have lots of unadvertised specials going on. No early morning hours though, our staff works hard enough during normal hours.

Weekend hours are Friday and Saturday 10 am - 5:30 pm and Sunday Noon - 5:00 PM

SPA CROP

We had such a good time at our "Spa Crop" and we have the photos to prove it! A big thank you to Selena Lubben for all the special treatments and for adding to the laughter.

Be sure to join us for our next crop in January. We won't have one in December due to all the holiday activities. I'm not sure how much work gets done, but we certainly have a good time!

Here we are, the week before Thanksgiving. Traffic is getting heavier, the stores are getting busier, holiday decorations are beginning to appear, and the season is upon us. I'm trying to decide when and how, I will find the time in the next few days to plan a menu, go to the grocery store, and cook Thanksgiving dinner, all while running a store, at the busiest time of the year! Yikes! To top off the list is the fact that Jenny and I leave for Las Vegas on Tuesday the 28th for EKSTRAVAGANZA! We can hardly wait!

As an EK Success, Elite store, we are invited every year, all expenses paid, to a fabulous week of entertainment, classes and product previews. This years event just happens to be at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, (oh darn). We will see all the great product previews for the next six months as well as the new Martha Stewart line. You can bet, we'll come back pumped and excited, and ready to share all the great news and ideas with you all!

I spent all day Tuesday with one of our favorite reps, writing orders for the holiday season! When I say all day, I mean all day too... we started at 10:30 AM and she didn't leave till almost 6:00 PM! We have so many wonderful products ordered. Hello Everyone,

What a great week it's been! Lot's of hours, and I'm tired, but it's been worth it! First of all, Jenny's clock classes were amazing! Each and every clock was so different and unique. We loved them all! I can't wait till after Christmas, to hear about all the reactions, from the recipients! This is truly going to be the gift of the season! Almost everyone was doing multiple gifts! Jenny did a great job teaching! She's so creative and talented... we need to encourage her to teach more often!

Whether you are ready or not, the Holiday Season is upon us! We are only two weeks away from Thanksgiving when the big rush will start. UPS delivers daily here. In fact we received 15 boxes today! Can you believe it's November already, and the holidays are rapidly approaching? The entire month of October flew by so fast that I can barely believe we are only 3 weeks away from Thanksgiving, 6 weeks away from Ali Edwards and Donna Downey's Visit, and 7 weeks away from Christmas! You can certainly tell by the traffic, that many of our winter residents have returned. The store has been bustling with customers and new products have been rolling in, in anticipation of Holiday sales!

Our Design Team met last night and as we sat and planned workshops for February and March! I started feeling the pressure to start making lists of things that need to be done and the dates that need to be completed. I had to stop myself this morning, take a deep breath and remind myself that I need to enjoy the moment. I am easily distracted these days, with orders that need to be done, events that need to be planned, bills that need to be paid, and all the other myriad of activities involved in running the store! November is the month to be THANKFUL! It is a time to count our blessings and be grateful for all that is good in our lives. I am so blessed, and am glad that I stopped this morning, and took the time to remind myself of that!

Congratulations to Fran Hallaway, our lucky Cricut Raffle Winner! Fran was soooooooooooo excited when we called her. She just couldn't believe it! We're thrilled for you Fran! You're going to have a blast with your new toy!

Other News: Our all time favorite, and best selling album, is soon to be "NO MORE"! Mrs. Grossman's has discontinued their albums. We have placed a huge order for the albums that they still have in stock, but the colors and quantities are limited. We are one of the top selling stores in the country for her albums, so to say we are disappointed, is an understatement! It will be very difficult to find a replacement for these very popular albums, especially since they were so easy to emboss. My suggestion is, when the shipment arrives, hurry in to stock up on them because once they are gone, they're gone for good! We ordered plenty of refills and spacers as well. No one is more disappointed than we are!

MORE BAD NEWS!

As if this isn't enough bad news regarding discontinued items... here's another, EK SUCCESS has discontinued our favorite Maple Lane Storage System. The freight had become so outrageous that no one could afford to absorb the costs. We have sold so many of these. If you have purchased this system and think you want to add to it, please come in and let me know how many additional pieces you may want. I will place an order shortly, to try and meet everyone's requests. This would make an awesome holiday gift as well, so put your thinking caps on, get your tape measure out and start planning. The warehouse supply won't last long!  

Heidi Swapp Clock Workshop: I know, I'm sorry... I'm stating it right up front! Yes, the class sold out in less than 3 days, we have more than 20 people taking it.
