Weekly Update:
October 27, 2005
Well, Wilma has passed thank goodness, and Sarasotans were lucky once
again! Our thoughts go out to our southern friends, who
were less as fortunate. We will all feel the residual
effects of these disastrous storms for a long time. I'm
sure I speak for most people when I say, the end of
hurricane season can't get here soon enough!
Isn't this cooler weather refreshing. I just
love opening the windows and letting the fresh air in!
It certainly puts you in the proper mood for Fall, not
to mention that it's the perfect weather for "Trick or
Treating" or "Fall Festivals". Speaking of Fall Events,
be sure to check out our
Events & Promotions
page to see what's happening at
Made For
Memories this Saturday! Be sure to stop in
and be a part of this fun event!
The November calendar is posted so be sure to
check out all the wonderful workshops we have planned!
Our Design Team is off and running with great ideas for
the New Year! Just wait till you see what they have come
up with! The Basic Grey
Lunchbox Workshop filled immediately,
so we will be repeating it. If you are interested in
this class be sure to call the store and add your name
to the waiting list before the second class fills as
well!
We are rockin' and rollin' here at the store.
Everyday is like Christmas, when the UPS and Fed Ex
deliveries arrive! You just can't believe all the great
stuff. Please remember that a lot of times, merchandise
sells out before you've even read my weekly update. If
you are afraid of missing out on something, be sure to
call the store to check on a product you are interested
in! Check the website often as well, as I will be
posting some of the products we have coming in on the
Product Highlights Page!
Other News: There
may not be a weekly update next week because I'm off to
New York, to EK Success
Headquarters, for SDU (Scrapbook Design University)
Training.
We are thrilled and excited about
offering you this new education program that will
enhance your scrapbooking skills, and raise the bar
another notch. As the area's ONLY Elite store, we
will be trained and certified by leaders in the
industry, providing you with a comprehensive program
that will build upon itself. We'll bring you the newest
techniques, and teach you the skills you'll need, to
keep moving forward. Watch for details the first of the
year when we begin to implement this program. From
basics to Advanced Methods Classes, we'll have it all!
It is our goal to meet all of your scrapbooking needs.
We aim to bring you the best there is, from to products

Hooray! Hooray! It's here!
Our new website is up and running! I can now post
to each page, give you all the latest news, show you all
the latest products and class samples and share with you
all the exciting news, events and promotions, here at
Made For
Memories! I hope you all will
enjoy our new site as much as we do.
Well, as we sit and wait out the impending storm
we realize that the weather is one of those things we
have no control over. As long as we are prepared and
ready to do what is necessary to stay safe,
we can't just sit around and worry about what may or may
not happen. Like everyone else, we are taking it a day
at a time around here. We will maintain our regular
business hours until we hear that "Wilma" is headed our
way. Then we too, will board up and head out!
If you remember some of our
hurricane hints from last year, you know that
preparation is much better than last minute panic. Take
those important documents, photo albums and pictures and
store them in sealed plastic bags, sealed Tupperware
containers or even in your dishwasher with the latch
locked. The vacuum seal will keep all of your items safe
and protected. JUST DON'T TURN THE DISHWASHER ON!
Of course we are all hoping this won't be necessary!
This weeks initial update will go out
without all the other pages on our website being
updated. The other updates will follow in the next few
days. Be sure to check back daily as I will add the
highlights for products ordered at the recent Memory
Trends Show, November and December Workshop schedules as
well as November and December Events and Promotions.
Our Design Team Members bios and photos will also be
posted. We are so excited about our Design Team and know
that you will be too as you get to know them and take
classes from them. They are a talented group of gals
that continue to inspire me! Each one is working on a 6
x 6 scrapbook that will be displayed in the store giving
you a glimpse into their styles and creativity! Check
them out next time you're in the store.
The new website will also allow the Weekly
Updates to be shorter because so much of the information
will be posted on other pages. I will make a reference
in the updates to the pages, to make it easier to
follow. YIPPEE! I Love It Already! Hope you will too!
Check the Website tomorrow for
the info on next weeks Special Basic Grey Lunchbox
Workshop and for our Halloween Weekend Promotion!

October 14, 2005
Hello All,
So much news... so little time... First of all let me
just tell you, I returned yesterday from the Memory
Trends Show in Las Vegas and all I can say is WOW,
YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE IT... ALL THE INCREDIBLE,
WONDERFUL, GOTTA HAVE, NEW PRODUCTS THAT I ORDERED!
We all keep saying how can it get any better, but it
just does. We live and work in an industry that is so
creative and talented, and the design teams from the
manufactures just keep raising the bar. Due to our years
in business, and our sales volume, we were invited to
many special preview parties hosted by Making Memories,
Bazzill, Creative Imaginations, EK Success and many
more. We were able to not only see the new products
before the show opened, but were able to place our
orders in advance, which means our orders will ship long
before many other stores will receive theirs! This is
definitely my favorite trade show because it is strictly
scrapbooking manufactures. CHA (our big Jan and July
shows) is for the entire craft industry, and is a much
more difficult show to work!
I will not be able to publish to our new website until
next week. As soon as I am able to publish, I will show
you samples of the new products I have ordered! You will
flip over backwards! In the meantime, be sure to stop in
the store to see samples! ( Wednesday, Oct 19th is the
target date to start publishing thru the new website, so
watch for your E-mail update next week)
Workshop Updates:
This Saturday's workshops include:
Bazzill Mega Mono Mini Album We only have 2
spots open. This fabulous mini album is a quotation book
perfect to give as a gift or use for yourself. Filled
with quotes, there's also room for plenty of photo's.
This book is also filled with tabs adorned with ribbons
and pockets ready for hidden notes or other memorabilia.
Don't miss out on this fun project. You'll love the
techniques!
Anna Griffin This months Anna Griffin pages
are awesome. A double page spread perfect for
Thanksgiving complete with 3D frames in greens, oranges
and gold tones... beautiful doesn't describe it!!! The
second layout is Pretty in Pink. Bright hot pink and
lime green princess bling theme... too cute. One spots
left in the Thanksgiving class and two spots left in the
Pink class. If you haven't taken an Anna Griffin class,
you don't know what you're missing. These gals have
soooo much fun!
Mark Your Calendars
The November and December Calendar will be
completed next week. Again I am unable to publish to the
website until next week but wanted to give you the heads
up on a few dates. Our incredibly talented Design Team
have some great workshops planned and you won't want to
miss any of them. On Saturday
October 29th we have the
Basic Grey Lunch Box Class
which is so unbelievably awesome you will flip when
you see the sample. I will publish the photo next week.
This 3 hour workshop is limited in size so don't waste
any time calling to reserve a spot. The amount of
product used in the class is staggering but the outcome
will blow you away! Also that day we have our annual
Halloween Surprise!
Again, watch your E-mails for the details. If you recall
last year...it was a howlin' good time!
November 1st marks the beginning of
TURKEY BUCKS! For every $20.00 you spend, pre
tax, you will receive a $1.00 Turkey Buck, redeemable
the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Start collecting and enjoy the savings!
December 4th is our Annual Open House! You
won't want to miss this grand celebration. We'll have
Refreshments, Surprises, Santa, Surprises, Make & Takes,
Surprises, Music, and more Surprises...more details to
follow, just mark the date on your calendars now! As we
do every year, our Santa Wish Lists are available for
you to fill out to make shopping by your friends and
family easier. Stop in and fill one out. We will keep it
on file and assist your family members in fulfilling
your requests. We also have fabulous 12x12 holiday

way for your hubby and children you shop for "just what
you want"!
New Kid On The Block, as we grow... our staff grows too!
Yes, there's another new face that has joined
the Made For Memories Crew. We are thrilled to welcome
Pam Reynolds to our MFM family! This cheery blond,
brings even more enthusiasm, talent and experience to
our store. Pam will be working several days a week, and
I promise before long, she'll know every one of you by
your first name!
In Store Promotions
In order to make room for all the new
products I ordered at Memory Trends, we are offering
several in store promotions. Stop in the store to see
these special promo's. They won't be posted on the
website or advertised elsewhere. Here's a teaser though
of one:

Hello, Everyone... due to the launching of
our new website, there will not be a normal weekly
update this week. The new site is up, but not all the
information on each webpage has been loaded. We hope
you'll like the new site and the changes that we've
made. We are excited about all the information that we
will be able to share with you through the navigation of
this new site!
We are looking for testimonials as well, so any of you
that feel the desire to write a note, we'd love to have
your comments on our testimonial page! Bear with us as
we continue to input all the other pages!
I am off to Las Vegas on Saturday for the Memory Trends
Show. I can't wait to see all the new products that are
being introduced. I have been inundated with E-mails,
promotions and flyers by all the vendors on their new
products! I'll return prepared to show you all that I
can, as well as informing you of shipping dates.
Saturday's workshop is a Bazzill Card class that
is soooooooooooooo wonderful. You'll complete five
cards for five separate occasions. Come learn some new
techniques and be prepared to want to duplicate them
all. There are a few spots left so give us a quick call
to add your name to the list!
Thanks, I hope you all like the new site! Have a great
weekend! VIVA LAS VEGAS!
Happy Scrapping,
Ade
