Weekly Update:

April 27, 2009
Here it is... the last week of April, Spring has
sprung and summer is close at hand. As the
School year winds down and we prepare for the
lazy days of summer, it's important to remember
to stop and appreciate "the moment". This past
year has been a stressful time in our world, and
life as we have known it, for many, has changed.

It's important for us all to stay focused on
"what really matters" in our lives and not be
caught up in things that have no impact on
others or do not leave a legacy of goodwill. If
you are a scrapbooker, then you scrapbook for a
reason: to tell a story, to share a your life or
the life of someone, you love.

I have heard from many people these last few
months that during moments of trial and loss of
hope, they have turned to their scrapbooking
hobby and found joy! I hope the same will hold
true for those who are reading this now. If
you've found yourself not wanting to pull out
all of your supplies or face the mountains of
photos you have, try working on one simple
project and see if it doesn't re-ignite a spark
from within. Sometimes it's the simplest of
things that give us the greatest joy!
Wrap Up:

April 9, 2009
This is such a sacred time of the year.
For our Jewish friends who celebrate Passover,
we wish you a blessed holiday.
Passover:
And this day shall become
a memorial for you, and you shall observe it as
a festival for the L-RD, for your generations,
as an eternal decree shall you observe it. For
seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, but
on the first day you shall remove the leaven
from your homes ... you shall guard the
unleavened bread, because on this very day I
will take you out of the land of Egypt; you
shall observe this day for your generations as
an eternal decree.
- Exodus 12:14-17
For our Protestant friends we wish you a Happy
Easter.

Jesus came to earth,
To show us how to live,
How to put others first,
How to love and how to give.
Then He set about His work,
That God sent Him to do;
He took our punishment on Himself;
He made us clean and new.
He could have saved Himself,
Calling angels from above,
But He chose to pay our price for sin;
He paid it out of love.
Our Lord died on Good Friday,
But the cross did not destroy
His resurrection on Easter morn
That fills our hearts with joy.
Now we know our earthly death,
Like His, is just a rest.
We'll be forever with Him
In heaven, where life is best.
So we live our lives for Jesus,
Think of Him in all we do.
Thank you Savior; Thank you Lord.
Help us love like you!

I am having some minor surgery on Monday and
will be will be out of commission for a while.
You all have watched me hobble around since
January without much relief and now my options
have narrowed, thus the surgery. Not to worry though, the store will be in good
hands with Jenny at the helm! We still have lots
of new items arriving daily and the creative
juices are still flowing strong. Now that the
"tourist season" is officially over, it should
be easier to get out and about!
