Weekly Update:
December 20, 2007

Here we are turning the corner with only 5 days to go. Ready or not, Christmas is here! I hope in the hustle and bustle of the season, you have managed to find a quiet moment, to enjoy the true meaning of the season. I hope you have experienced the gift of giving as well as the blessings of receiving.

Our 12 days of Christmas promotion ended yesterday, and we hope you have enjoyed it as much as we have. Outside of one snafu while I was gone, all was organized and went well! Thank you so much for the kind E-mails and comments that so many of you have offered. It is always nice to know that our efforts are appreciated.

In the midst of a busy time of the year, we celebrated a very special occasion with part of the family! Jane's son Scott, was married this past weekend, in New Jersey. It was such a lovely wedding, and despite the threat of a massive snow storm, all went well. While the nor-easter wrecked havoc on New England, we got the tail end of it. during the reception, Saturday night. There was something so weird about watching the waves from the Atlantic crash the shoreline, as the snow fell from the sky. Here, proud parents Jane & Rob glow in the moment. Congratulations to newlyweds, Sue & Scott Marcantonio and Congratulations to Jane & Rob, on the newest member of their family.

Happy Holidays! The season is upon us and goodwill and good cheer are the order of the day. I love this time of year and rejoice in the spirit of giving.  Don't you just wish that everyone could keep this attitude the other 11 months of the year? We are doing things a little differently at our house this year and I must tell you, there is no stress, no hassle and there are no deadlines to worry about. It is truly wonderful! I hope the celebration of the season will be the same for each of you.

Our Annual Open House was a great success and a lot of fun. Music filled the air, the Make & Takes were awesome, and Santa had his fill of Cookies! It also provided the perfect opportunity for a "Family" photo! Even the family pets were included. Check this out, doesn't my Mom look great for 88 years young? We're also thrilled to welcome Jenny's fiancé' Tim to the family! Isn't he a cutie?

Our 12 Days of Christmas Promotion has also been a lot of fun. Everyone has loved the Make & Takes each day. Some of you have even come in, every single day just to do them. The different promotional items have proven to be great incentives as well! I'm so glad, everyone is enjoying our little holiday twist.

Workshops: Yes, it's true... we only scheduled one workshop for the month of December. It's just been too busy to try and work in classes as well as taking care of all the Holiday shoppers. I know many of you have commented and are disappointed, but sometimes we just have to realize we can't do it all!! It's been so busy in the store and I thought with all the other holiday activities, no one would have the time for a class, anyway. I promise you, January is full of great classes and fun ideas and you won't be disappointed. Both Jenny and Jeannie have some neat surprises up their sleeves and of course, we always start the New Year off with a fabulous Organizational Class. Soooooooooo... stay tuned. The January Calendar will be out soon!
