Wow, what a week it has been... boxes, boxes and more boxes and people, people and more people! How wonderful! Every day feels like Christmas around here! We have been incredibly busy, from our regulars, to our northern visitors, and the many Treasure Hunters from the Tampa Bay area...the store has been bustling! What a great time too, because everyone wants to be a part of the opening of boxes! A great big "thank you" to some very special people too, who have pitched in to help check it all in, price it and get it on the floor! You know who you are... we couldn't have done it without you! Thanks so much!

So many exciting things to tell you! I hope everyone received the E-mail regarding our special guest teacher, Michelle  Van Etten! The phone has been ringing off the hook with people signing up, so if you want to take this very special class, don't wait too long to call! She is amazing, and her work is really, beautiful! We should have the sample in the store next week! In the meantime, check out the photos on the Events Page of our website.

The March Calendar is available in the store, as well as posted on the Calendar Page of the website. You will see that we have a new twist on things. We have some fun classes planned, and in keeping with our Vendor of the Month theme, several of the March workshops,

 feature Bo Bunny products. Each month we will feature a different vendor. We'll have workshops, promotions and some fun events planned around their product lines. Every month will be different and every promotion will be different. You'll need to watch your E-mails for details. Due to the popularity of some of our classes, many will be repeated. If a class is full when you call to sign up, be sure to ask if it will be repeated, and make sure your name is on the wait list.

There are still a few spots available in this weeks class. One of Jenny's creations, this adorable fold down box can display more than 20 photos. I promise you, Jenny's talents will not only inspire you, but you'll learn some new techniques along the way! Class is Saturday 1 - 4 pm.

Calling all Pages By Design, Graduates! Don't forget this Sunday at Noon... bring your completed pages, for a "Show and Tell." You don't need to have your photos on them, to consider them completed. Let's all show Tissiana how much we learned, and make her proud! I have been amazed at how many people have made comments about this class, and how much it has helped them with their layouts! This was definitely a winner, and sure to be repeated!

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope your day is filled with wine and roses! What a wonderful day to celebrate... Don't you wish the whole world could just stop, for one brief moment, and put hatred and politics aside, and just love one another? Wishful thinking, I know! At any rate, I wish for you a day filled with love!

We're off to a great start, as the CHA shipments are beginning to roll in. So far, everyone's been as excited as we were when we placed the orders! We are thrilled with our choices and just know, you will be too! Boxes are arriving daily, and E-mail confirmations tell me that huge K & Co, Karen Foster and 7 Gypsy orders will be here next week! We have some awesome classes planned too. Trust me... when you see the samples, you will Run not Walk, to sign up! I know the March calendar isn't up yet, but we are waiting to confirm some last minute details before we post it. We do have several classes scheduled, with definite dates and times. Just ask us when you are in and we'll tell you what they are. I hope to have the calendar completed and posted by next week.

A great big "Thank You" to Design Team Member, Tissiana Bowman, for the incredible job she did, leading our "Pages By Design" workshop! What an awesome class that was! I know for a fact, that it will impact the way I scrapbook. For those of you that missed it, you will have a second chance. As soon as Tissiana has recovered, we'll get her to commit to another date, and we'll repeat it. THIS IS A MUST DO WORKSHOP! Whether you are a seasoned scrapbooker or not... it will definitely make a difference in your approach to pattern papers.

This Saturday's Workshop has been sold out for awhile, but we have scheduled a repeat performance,  Tuesday, March 6th from 10:30 - 12:30 pm. This is the clever, little book, that Donna Downey taught, when she was here. Once you learn how to fold the pages, you will want to make one book after another. These are perfect for little gifts or to scrapbook photos from one event. Class size is limited, so don't wait long, to sign up!

Monthly Crop: This Friday (Feb 16th) 5:30 - 11:00 pm

We're back! Exhausted but exhilarated! Sore feet but renewed enthusiasm! All I can say is ,Wow! What a show! I'll try and give you a recap without boring you with details. Suffice it to say, I think we did an amazing job placing orders for products, that you're going to love.

As a member of Crafter's Home, we were fortunate to have presentations from 41 manufactures, in a two day period, prior to the show opening! Along with 115 other stores from across the country, this enabled us to place our orders before   other attending store owners, even saw the product! It certainly saved us hours, and hours of valuable time on the show floor! We also had a fun night of Make & Takes from these same manufacturers, which allowed us to play with the new products, and bring samples home, for display! We had invitations to so many preview parties, it was impossible to attend them all. In fact, we were so late arriving to the Luxe Designs party, that we missed it all together. But how fortunate we were, to be given a private preview from the owners, themselves. This bold, new line of papers, should prove to be a winner!

Even on a rainy day, Laguna Beach is beautiful!

The private Reception for Martha Stewart,  given by EK Success, entailed more security than a White House dinner! We previewed her new line of scrapbooking products, and watched, as she gave a brief demonstration of them. I must say, it certainly proved how much she relies on her staff, for things. She was definitely not an expert in this area. We did have an opportunity for a private viewing the next day, and were able to not only be able to view her product line, but were able to use some of the tools, as well. I'm not sure exactly what the status of her line is, at this time. It will be sold in Michaels as well as EK Elite Stores. Whether only certain products will be available in either store, is yet to be determined. As Elite Store Owners, we were asked to fill out surveys, and give our honest opinions. We'll see what the outcome will be. I do think her product line appeals to a certain segment of the population only, and not to the average scrapbooker. Based on what we saw, it probably isn't a line we will carry in our store!

I'm sure many of you have already checked out the message boards and blogs, to see the new products. I'll give you the rundown on what's on order and Jenny will post images on the In the Spotlight page of the website daily. Merchandise will ship from February thru April but don't ask me exact dates... cause as you know, we're at their mercy when it comes to delivery. Sometimes there's just no rhyme or reason to it!

  Workshops: We are very excited about the great workshop opportunities that are on the horizon. So many of the companies now have wonderful, education support programs in place, to help stores show customers how to use their products. It makes life very easy for us, that's for sure. We have some great classes planned using new Bo Bunny, 7 Gypsies, Cosmo Cricket, and Creative Imaginations products, based on ideas right from them! Yippee... all the fun but less work for us! We'll keep you posted on dates and times.
