It's here... the end of our month long Anniversary Celebration! I just can't believe the month has flown by so quickly! As we wind down our celebration I just want to take the opportunity to once again, thank each of you, for your continued support over the past 7 years! It's been an amazing journey, and we've watched an industry grow from a small, limited, cottage industry, to a thriving force in the craft world! I do believe Scrapbooking is an important part of people's lives and will indeed be around for a very long time.

An independent store can never compete with the big box stores in regard to pricing or quantity, but I do think we make up for it in personal service, great workshops, and limitless creativity. It's your loyalty in supporting us, that keeps us going and for that we are most grateful! I have always said our sign out front says "Scrapbooking and More"... and more often than not, it's the more that keeps you coming back! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you and look forward to another 7 years of doing the same!

Thursday, June 28th: Our Final "Thank You Thursday, Make & Take" and my mom's 88th birthday! She may be 88 but she looks more like 68! Happy Birthday, Mom!

Friday: 4th of July Star Book Workshop 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Saturday: Store-Wide Celebration. Watch your E-mail on Friday for details! Final Voting for this month's Page Contest and our Grand Prize Raffle Basket Drawing. Also 7 Gypsies Travel Journal Workshop 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Monday: Ade's Birthday! I'm only 38... yeah, that sounds good, I can wish anyway, can't I?

Where oh where is the month of June going? Week two of our Anniversary Celebration was another success and we're already half way through week Three! Hasn't this been fun, each week a different promotion, and each week a great bargain to boot! Thanks for all the great positive feedback! It's always nice to hear that our efforts are appreciated! After all, we wouldn't be here if it weren't for each of you!

Garage Sale Update: Details are finalized and participant forms await you! Participation is limited to 15 people, so run, don't walk to the store, fill out your form and start getting all of your "STUFF" ready! Saturday, August 4th is the day, our parking lot will be transformed into Sarasota's own Scrapbook EXPO! Check out the Events page for info!

Thank You Thursdays! Make & Take

Don't forget to stop in for our Thank You Thursdays, each week! Sandy T has designed some adorable cards for you to enjoy! Only two weeks left, so mark your calendars, Thursday, June 21st and 28th, anytime between 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Speaking of Cards... we're calling all card lovers! We have something we know you're all going to enjoy. A monthly card class and card swap beginning in July, led by the best card maker we know... Jenny! Each month you'll come to class, create a new card or cards, designed by Jenny. At the end of the class you'll sign up for a themed category and card exchange for the following month. The number of participants will determine the number of cards you'll make each month. When you return the following month, you'll have the same number of cards you made, but all in different themes.  Doesn't this sound like fun?  If you love making, sending and receiving cards, then be sure to sign up for this fun new club!  

Don't forget Sandy T's Mystery Class this Thursday from 11 am - 2 pm. Each month she serves up a different project that is sure to please you. Check out some of her samples on the class table... you'll be amazed at what she has to offer!

Week One of our Anniversary Celebration was a huge success. We had almost 100 customers on Saturday at our Sale-A-Bration! Well guess what? It's not over yet! Each Saturday this month, we will offer you a different surprise with bargains galore! You won't want to miss any of them. Oh, and don't forget our "Thank You Thursday's" where we offer you a free Make & Take card! Sandy T has some adorable creations for you.

There's nothing "lazy" about our summer days. We are almost finished with our summer calendar and you'll love some of the great ideas we have to offer. The old saying "What's old is new again" holds true around here. We have brought back some our previous classes to repeat for those new customers that have never seen them before. So many people have asked us to repeat many of our projects, so if you  missed any of them the first time around... fear not, here's your chance to learn some great techniques this summer, and at bargain prices to boot! We are trying to keep costs at a minimum so projects will not be embellished. We'll give you the bare bones, show you lots of finished examples, and let you complete them on your own. This way we can offer lots of different things and keep costs at a minimum. Be sure to stop in the store to see samples and weekly offerings. We will not be able to post them on the website

Start gathering all your left over scrapbooking supplies... we're having a "Garage Sale" in August. Details and exact date will be announced next week. Just wanted to give you a heads up! What a great way to clear out some of your unused product and make room for more! Remember, one scrapper's trash, is another scrapper's treasure.
