Well, here we are at the end of the month already! Honestly, is it me, or is time flying by as fast for everyone else, as it is for me??? As promised, no details in last weeks update due to time constraints, so I'll try and bring you up to date now. After all, there's no standing still around here.

First of all, let me just say that Jenny and I had a fabulous time in the "Big Apple" Many thanks to our good friend Alix, who's incredible hospitality, made it even more special. She also made the best tour guide, since I never seemed to get my bearings straight. We managed to mix a little pleasure with business, and found time for both shopping and    Broadway.

We also found time to hit a few tourists spots, since I had never been to the top of the Empire State building, despite 40 years of trips to NYC. I must tell you that I am a real Broadway Buff and have seen more shows than I can even begin to count.

Well, I think Mary Poppins will be added to my top 10 list! We loved every moment of this captivating show. Deviating in a few minor ways from the movie script, the music, choreography and special effects were unbelievable. Of course, 2nd row center seats weren't bad either! If NYC is on your list of summer travels, make sure to make tickets to Mary Poppins a priority! I promise, you'll thank me, if you go!

The real reason for our NY trip was to attend the Stationery Show. We try to attend every other year, because we always find some vendors with unique items that aren't at CHA. This year was no exception! We managed to find quite a few new, and exciting products to add to our inventory. A few surprises as well! We're excited about the cross-over between scrapbooking, paper crafting, home decor, card making and invitations. Watch for lots of additions to our store in the months to come!

It's Anniversary Time Again! We're celebrating 7 years of Creativity and want to thank you for "Sticking With Us!"

Talk about time flying by! Wow, it seems like just yesterday, that we opened our doors. What a wonderful journey it has been, and we're looking forward with anticipation, to the next 7 years, that lie ahead. We're celebrating all month long with lots of fun promotions, weekly specials, make & takes and more. Watch your E-mails for details, beginning June 1st.

Summer Plans

We have lots of fun plans for summer! If travel is not on your list of things to do this summer, and instead, you plan to stay home and enjoy a quiet, restful summer, make sure to check out some of our activities. Just think about how much scrapbooking you can catch up on! We have some wonderful, inexpensive projects planned. We're even repeating some "oldies but goodies" for all our scrapbooking newbies. If you've seen samples around the store, of projects that you'd like to learn "how to do," be sure to let one of us know and we'll add it to the list!

KI Memories: Elsie is on her way! If you've been waiting for the Elsie Flanagan stuff to arrive, it should be here shortly. Shipping to store's has been very irregular. Ki filled small orders first, instead of filling them in the order they were received. Don't worry it will be worth the wait!

You can certainly tell that school is out! We've had more Moms and kiddos in today and everyone has been in such happy moods! Some have even come bearing gifts, such as sweet, (no pun intended) little, Sullivan Sweet, who made a crown just for me! Here we are in all our glory, with me, sporting my beautiful, jeweled gift! What a great way to start our summer vacation, huh? Thank you Sullivan. I told you I'd post this picture!

Wow, can you believe it's the middle of May already? It seems like we live from one major event to the next, around here. We are constantly in motion, planning promotions, celebrating holidays or events. Honestly, I don't know how WE ALL, (I include you all, in this group) manage to keep track of everything. It amazes me that we are capable of, not only juggling so many things in our lives, but also finding time to document them, in our scrapbooking! 

As summer approaches and you begin to plan your vacations, I hope you will also plan "a little down time" for yourselves, as well as your children. Take a few days to just rest, walk the beach, and enjoy the quiet reflection. Trust me, if you don't, the summer will be over in the blink of an eye.

In keeping with this restful philosophy, we've planned some fun summer projects that will help you scrapbook your vacations, and other summer events, in a quick and easy manner. No stress allowed! You can make these wonderful projects ahead of time, and just add photos later.

I'm going to San Francisco in July, and I already have my little flip album completed. All I'll need to do when I return, is a little journaling ,add my photos, and it will be complete! I'll enjoy the trip a lot more, knowing that ahead of time!

We're putting the final touches on our summer calendar, so all classes may not be posted yet, but when you're in the store, be sure to ask us, and we'll show you what we're working on!

Things may be winding down for you, but not for us! We continue to get new merchandise in every day. Stop in and check it out, maybe you'll decide to stay and play awhile too!

What a great weekend we had at our NSD Retreat! If you missed it, you missed a good time! It all began at noon on Friday, and believe me when I say, everyone came prepared to crop until the wee hours of the morning! The luggage racks were filled, and not with suitcases full of clothes, but with every scrapbooking tool, paper, embellishment and more... known to man! It didn't take people long to set up and start working, either! Some diehards even cropped until the wee hours of the morning. I think the last ones finally called it a night, at 4:00 am.

We gave away filled goodie bags, more than 150 product prizes, as well as contest prizes, and our lucky Grand Prize winner, went home with a Mimi tote, filled with $1,000.00 worth of brand new, scrapbook products. The catered food was incredible and no one went hungry! This annual event has certainly set the bar for events and people are already asking to sign up for next year. No, we're not taking names yet, but be sure to mark your calendars now for May2-4, 2008! You won't want to miss out on the experience!

Happy May Day, Happy Derby Day, Happy National Scrapbook Day and Happy NSD Retreat Weekend! It's here... the weekend we've all been waiting for, our Annual Crop Celebration.

Our bags are packed and we're ready to go! The fun starts now. Cropping, make & takes, goodie bags, prizes, contests, give-a-ways and more. If you are missing this years celebration, you are missing a lot. Be sure to mark your calendars now for next year and be a part of all the fun!

Congratulations to our April Page Contest Winners. Each and everyone of the pages submitted, were awesome.
