It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

Fall has arrived, and the temperature is cooler, the days are shorter and the clocks fall back this weekend! I just love this time of year! I start getting anxious about the holidays and all the wonderful upcoming events of the season. It's obvious I'm not alone either, because we have been so busy in the store this week that I'm spending lots of time after hours, doing bookwork, re-orders, new orders and other daily tasks, there isn't time to do during the day!

The phones have been ringing off the hook with  people calling to sign up for workshops. Both of the clock classes sold out in less than 3 days. This Saturday's Christmas House book has been sold out for weeks. I encourage you, if you are looking for some great ideas or gifts, be sure to check out the class samples because there are some incredible workshops in November.

Speaking of workshops, Heather Preckle did an outstanding job last Saturday in each of her classes. I know several people really stepped out of their box and tried some fun new techniques. A big thank you to Kathy Lord for allowing us to hang her incredible class pages for all to enjoy! Be sure to take a look when you stop in! Kathy, you should hear the compliments! You go girl! Of course the photos are the icing on the cake!

I apologize for not having more photos, but we were so busy in the store, I couldn't get back to the classroom to take them! Be sure to ask to see al the samples when you come into the store! Thanks Heather, for sharing your time and your talents with us!

October is slowly coming to an end, and our big drawing for the incredible Cricut machine, is rapidly approaching! One lucky winner is going to jump for joy when her name is drawn from our Raffle bucket! If you haven't purchased your raffle ticket yet, NOW IS THE TIME! You can purchase tickets until 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Halloween Day! At the end of the day, we will draw the winning name and off she'll go with her brand, new $300.00 die cutting machine extraordinaire!

A great big thank you to Diana Newberry for teaching two great workshops today! She taught the Take Out Menu book and the Little Man Album. Both classes were awesome! She is teaching the Take Out Menu book again in Dec, so if you missed it today, be sure to sign up for the Dec class. I think it's about half full already! Everyone loved it, including me! Yes, I actually sat down and took the class, not an opportunity I am able to do very often!  Be sure to also check out the Christmas album class she's teaching. I promise you, it is more than you can possibly imagine! Each page is filled with embellishments and design! All you would need to do after the holidays is add your photos. It is truly a keepsake to be enjoyed for years to come!

  I just love Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin! What sweet memories of Halloween's past. I used to make all of Jason and Jenny's costumes by hand, everything from penguin suits to bumblebees. I would painstakingly sew every little detail on each outfit. I can't remember how much time or money went into those costumes, but I certainly remember the kids delight, when they would get dressed and pose for pictures. We also had such fun, family traditions, like carving the pumpkins together! It's so nice to hear that some things never change. So many of you have shared lately about your fall traditions with your families, and it's great to hear your stories. The best part is when we get to see the photos as well!

We are so excited about all the fun things happening around here. Seems we've been in a constant state of motion. As many of you know, we plan our workshops quarterly, so we have enough time to order products, make samples, work around other events and promotions, and bring you the best we can. I think we have one of the best fall and holiday line-ups we can offer. Our Design Team has pulled out all the stops and have put together some wonderful holiday gifts and organizational ideas. A few of the workshops are already sold out, so please, don't wait till it's too late to check them out. We hate having to disappoint people because a class is full.

We are thrilled and excited to Welcome Heather Preckle to our store tomorrow for a day of teaching and basking in her creativity! She is such a sweetheart and dripping in talent. What a fun day it's going to be!

We had our monthly Quickutz Klub meeting last night and made the most adorable cards, If you love Quickutz and aren't a member yet, be sure to stop in the store and ask us about the benefits of joining! Just when you think Fall is here, you wake up to another humid, Florida morning, where the temperature is 86 degrees! So what do we all do, we crank up the AC, light a few candles, bake some pumpkin bread, and pretend! Such is the case here this week, especially since the Fall and holiday product just keeps rolling in! It's not hard to get in the mood when you are surrounded by so many beautiful holiday products!

All the pieces are beginning to fall into place for our Fall and Holiday activities. Be sure to check the website often on the events and calendar pages to keep up with it all! We have some great workshops planned to make your life easier. We're also putting the final touches on our Holiday Planner, that will keep you on track during this busy season. We have two special guest teachers also in November and December. Sandy T and Diana Newberry, from Applegate Productions. Sandy T will be teaching dry embossing and Diana, (you may know her by her incredible design work in her  page-kits) will be teaching three different projects. Be sure to check these samples out, also on the calendar page 

We're kicking off the season with Saturday's Autumn File Folder Recipe Workshop. Let me just tell you, this is so incredibly cool. I couldn't wait to make one. Mine is now completed and filled with my Thanksgiving Recipes so all I have to do is grab it, go grocery shopping, and my Thanksgiving will be stress free. Give us a call to see if there are any spaces left in this class. I love mine, I know you would too.

SWAP: We have a few left over items from our SWAP. There are two baskets of free items and a couple of baskets with items that have great price tags. Be sure to check them out.

Rumor has it that Scrapbook Answers is gone. Apparently the publishing Company has pulled the plug on this fabulous magazine. I don't know about you, but I personally love this great resource, and am more than saddened to hear this news. Not sure if indeed it's a fact but it has certainly circulated through many Retailers. I'd love to know, if any of you hear differently.

Let us all remember that it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Please contribute in whatever way is possible, to help fight this disease. We have all been affected, either directly or indirectly and need to do our share to help fight for others! 

We have so many things happening around here that my head is spinning trying to keep up with them all. I have been frantically placing orders for upcoming events and workshops. I apologize, that many of our workshops are already filled, but we do have waiting lists. If there are cancellations, we will be happy to call. We will try and schedule a second workshop where possible. I know how disappointing it can be.
