Weekly Update:
September 27, 2007

Ok, now it really is the end of September and the Official First Day of Fall was September 23rd! So long, lazy hazy days of summer, so long September settling in... Hello October and the beginning of the busiest time of the year! Yippee! I am so excited about all the upcoming activities we have planned.

My mantra for a long time has been... STOP! Let's Get Off The Merry-Go-Round and get back to the basics! Yes, we will always continue to bring you the latest and greatest in products and techniques, but we will also show you how to enjoy what you already have, without being overwhelmed by product over-load and burnt out! We need to remember why we started this wonderful hobby and more importantly why we want to continue with it! I have shared so many experiences with you over the years, and this week I experienced another reminder of my purpose here as well as the purpose of our store. God has a wonderful way of showing you His path, when you allow Him to.

Easter Happy Pail

We met with Pat Johnson yesterday, one of our wonderful reps. She not only reps for many of the great companies, whose product we carry, but she was also a store owner herself. She knows both sides of the business that's for sure! To be more specific, she and her husband owned a rubber stamp store. She is not just a stamper, but a teacher as well, and just happens to rep for some of THE GREATEST STAMP Companies!  Drum Roll Please... Mark your  calendars now for our Holiday Open House Weekend: December 1-2. On Saturday, Pat is going to lead a great day of Stamping Projects and Make & Takes! I guarantee you'll have a great time learning about clear stamps, rubber stamps and everything in between! Watch your E-mails for details but in the meantime... save the date!

Wedding Update

I've had several people ask about Jenny's wedding plans and have told me I need to keep them informed via my weekly update. While I don't want to bore everyone unnecessarily, I have agreed to just put a post at the end of my updates for those who are interested! What a joy it is to share this process with so many of you who care!

This week we are checking out several places in town for the reception and Thursday is our first day of shopping for a Wedding gown. Jenny, her girlfriends and I, are off to Tampa for a day of trying on dresses. I hope they'll let me take pictures... I'll keep you posted!

Walt Disney World

Wow, what a great time Jenny and I had at SDV (Scrapbook Dream Vacation), at the Contemporary Resort, at Disney World. We laughed and cropped with such a great group of friends and accomplished so much! It was also good to see so many familiar faces and be able to stop and chat, without interruption...  I actually finished three entire projects. Jenny created her usual masterpieces...as well as worked on some wedding plans! Her guest list is already at 175... YIKES!

Speaking of weddings, we also went to visit the Wedding Chapel at the Grand Floridian, while we were at SDV, and spoke to a Disney Coordinator about the various opportunities for a "Destination Disney Wedding"! My little "Cinderella" was certainly excited at the prospect of that idea! I too, saw fairy dust, shadowed only by, dollar signs!! Tee, Hee! What a magical time this is!

Let Us Always Remember Our Fallen Heroes

I know this week has also been a milestone for our Nation. Some may need to remember and acknowledge it, and some may choose to forget. Our family was directly impacted both in New York and in Washington DC. Though our loved ones were safe and secure, many others were not not as fortunate. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families who still struggle every day with their loss. May our Nation never forget the heroes who gave their lives for others, and the will of a peaceful nation to provide hope for people who may not know the possibility.
