Monthly Stamping with Pat

Workshop Fee: $25.00 per class

Calling all stampers and wanna be stampers! We have exciting news and we are thrilled to share the big news with you! Our stamping Rep extraordinaire... Pat Johnson will be teaching monthly workshops! If you've attended any of our Make & Take Events with Pat, then you know all about her talent! If you haven't met her yet, then you'll want to!

If you miss her basics class, don't worry, Pat will offer it again periodically. She will also incorporate whimsical stamping along with challenging techniques. Be sure to mark your calendars now, cause this class fills quickly each month!

Cricut Club

Jeannie Leikin (Club Director)

Calling all cricut lovers who are obsessed with making stuff! Now we have a club just for you! Join your fellow Cricuteers and share ideas and designs, expanding your creativity by using your Cricut machine!

The Cricut machine is more than just a diecut machine! It creates letters and embellishments in any size and color that you desire. Come explore these elements with others who own this wonderful machine. Each month you will bring your machine and create a special project, exploring a single cartridge. There will also be swaps and other activities throughout the year.

Membership runs from September through April and entitles you to lots of wonderful benefits!

Membership entitles you to discounts on all Cricut products carried by Made For Memories.

Members have the privilege of using any MFM cartridges in the store at any time during the month. Simply bring your own machine and have a ball! This benefit allows you the opportunity to test drive a cartridge before you buy one of your own.

Tools Of The Trade

How does this work? Is that what this does? I have that, but I don't know how to use it! I don't think I'd ever use that if I had one. What exactly is a bone folder? If you have asked any of these questions, then this class is for you! We will explore your basic tool kit, or should we say, what should be in your basic tool kit! We'll include some of Jeannie's favorite tools as well as some of Jenny's, Margaret and Ade's, too! We will put in a little math, (not to fear, just a little need to know knowledge to make using your paper cutter more effectively). We'll also talk about paper sizes and general cutting info. Ok, this isn't rocket science, but maybe some of us just need a refresher course. Hopefully we can help you get that crop-a-dile out of the drawer... What's a crop-a-dile you ask? YOU, need this class. Join Jeannie as she leads you through the incredible world of tools!

Valentine Card Workshop

We just fold over backwards for you!

Cupids, hearts, reds and pinks... it's that time of the year. Six cards for your favorite Valentines. These "fancy" folds will become favorites for all occasion cards throughout the year. We'll be using our Scorepal, so if you don't already have one, you'll learn how useful this tool can be, and if you do have one, you'll learn how to use it! Come and learn how to "score" with Jeannie. You'll be glad you did!

2010 Journal Book

12 Months, 52 weeks, 365 days...

You know you want to journal, we all do. There are things to remember, things to save and we don't seem to have the time. We all lead busy lives and we just don't take the time to do it... but NOW... Let's do it!! Let's journal it. Not every day, but once a week... 52 pages, 52 photos, 52 quotes, 52 cards you've made or received, 52 events, 52 I'm to busy doing this or that. Just 52 ANYTHING!!

Not Your Ordinary Bookclub

For Members Only. This group meets monthly. It is a technique driven club and every month is a new experience. Designed by us, facilitated by us, every month members alternate project ideas and techniques. members are required to purchase a kit each month. Not for the weak of heart, all members are challenged to step outside of their normal "Scrapbooking Comfort Zone," and try new things.

Designed for those individuals with little or no scrapbooking experience or for the seasoned scrapbooker, who wants to learn more about their craft. This course consists of 4 classes. It is offered in two-class segments. You will even get a jump start on your own pages and progress. With guidance and direction, you will walk out with completed pages, just like a pro! Cost is $45.00 for the 4 session course. Check the monthly calendar for class dates.

Classes

The curriculum of SDU® starts at the very beginning! In these classes you will learn about the emotional value of scrapbooking along with the basics on how to plan and prepare for a scrapbook project. These classes present the foundation for beginners while exposing advanced students to view scrapbooking in a whole new light.

1. Scrapbook Basics
In Scrapbook Basics, discover the inspiration that comes from creating scrapbooks. This class will orient all levels of papercrafters to the tools of the trade, practical organization and the elements of scrapbook design. Learn step-by-step how to create focus and unity through a variety of matting techniques, and leave class with a full understanding of the elemental components of scrapbooking.

2. Building Blocks of Design
A working knowledge of color theory and its relation to designing scrapbook pages is essential to the development of well structured layouts. Combining this understanding with the building blocks (photographs, journaling, titles, enhancements, color, line, letter and shape) and the principles of design structure will assist scrapbookers in the creation of strong layouts that complete a balanced and unified story.

3. The Power of the Pen
A picture is not always worth a thousand words. It is vital that every scrapbook designer develop an appreciation for the integration of the written word on a scrapbook page. The Power of the Pen will provide students with basic writing techniques and exercises to assist in the development of engaging titles and impact filled journal entries. Additionally, students will begin to understand the influence that hand lettering has on their reader, and how to incorporate their personal script into each design.

4. The Final Touch
Embellishing scrapbook pages is a true testament in the development of a papercrafter's design process. Page enhancements such as titles, stickers and punch art, allow the designer to create balance, rhythm, movement, contrast and depth with a layout. Design spectacular titles, learn techniques that give new vitality to your collection of stickers, develop knowledge of punch maintenance and the incorporation of punch art design in layout design.

Scrapbook Classes & Special Events

Class Policies

Class Fees are non refundable
All classes must be paid for at the time of sign up
Class kits will provide all necessary supplies for class projects
Students must provide their own basic supplies which consist of scissors, rulers, paper trimmer, adhesives, etc.

Products for our classes and workshops are preordered and kits are assembled according to the number of paid students in each class. Our instructors are paid on a per student basis and when no shows occur, our instructors are still paid. Due to "No Shows" and several last minute cancellations we have found it necessary to enforce this policy. We apologize if this inconveniences any of our customers.

NOTE: We reserve the right to cancel any class if the 6 person class minimum is not met. If that happens, we will apply your fee to a future class of your choice. Some classes are only offered at specific times. All class samples are displayed in the store along with supply lists.

In Store Crop Time
You can crop, use our computer, punches and die cut machine anytime. It's only $5 for the first 3 hours (minimum) and $1.50 per hour for each additional hour. Call first for reservations.

Free Open Crop Days
Every Wednesday is Free Open Crop Day! There is no charge on these days to come in and work!
