Intermediate to Advanced Level

Calling all card lovers! Come join Jenny's monthly card class and swap. Each month you'll create a new cards, designed by Jenny. At the end of the class you'll sign up for a themed category and card exchange for the following month. The number of participants will determine the number of cards you'll make each month. When you return the following month you'll have the same number of cards you made but all in different categories. If you love making, sending and receiving cards then this group is for you!

Design Team Technique Boutiques

Join our incredibly talented and creative Design Team as they lead you through a series of hands on technique training! Have you ever wondered how certain looks are achieved or how to use some of the new products and tools in the store? Well, we promise to not only show you how... but get ready to get your hands dirty ‘cause you're going to get to play with everything too! Each class will build upon the last one. You will end up with a series of tag samples with direction labels on each tag. How convenient to have them all at your finger tips. When you have completed the series, you'll not only be thrilled by what you've learned, but you won't have to worry about forgetting any of the details!

Basic Grey End of Summer Vacation Album

Jessica is at it again... she'll lead you through this wonderful chipboard album filled with enough pages for more than 60 photos. What a perfect way to capture all of your summer memories. Join her for an end-of-summer, fun filled day. This 8 page 6 x 12 album, uses the Basic Grey Recess collection, and you'll receive 18 sheets of paper, 2 die cut sheets, a sticker sheet, a package of chipboard monograms, buttons, ribbons, and oh yes, even the album! What more can you ask for!

Signature Book

Join Gina as she shows to how to create this adorable little signature book. Filled with lots of room for photos or journaling or even fall recipes for your kitchen! 7 Gypsies Photo Carousel

Do you have a collection of pictures that deserve a special display? If so, then this is the class for you. Your workshop fee includes the photo carousel, hole punch along with some goodies that Jeannie has picked out for you! All class members will receive a special discount on their purchases that day so that your individual creation can be even more special. You'll have the entire day to create your own unique carousel. It can be heritage, a recent trip, or even a new grandbaby! Whatever theme you choose, it will be one of a kind. Start planning now and bring any paper collections you want, embellishments (the more the better). Photos work better if they are vertical, so plan ahead!

Calling all stampers and wanna be stampers! We have exciting news! We are thrilled to share the big news! Our stamping Rep extraordinaire... Pat Johnson will be teaching monthly workshops! If you have attended any of our Make & Take Events with Pat, then you know all about her talent! If you haven't met her yet, then you'll want to!

  Pat will teach a basic intro class in September and then build on those techniques each month. If you miss her basics class, don't worry, she'll offer it again periodically. Pat will incorporate whimsical stamping along with challenging techniques. Be sure to mark your calendars now, cause this class is sure to fill quickly!

Stamping With Leah

If you are a Rubber Stamper then you'll love these monthly classes taught by our resident expert. Leah brings her talent to the table each month with her unique cards. This class is designed for the intermediate to advanced stamper, but if you're interested in learning the art of stamping, let us know. When we have enough requests, we'll  schedule a beginner class!

Not Your Ordinary Bookclub

For Members Only.  This group meets monthly. It is a technique driven club and every month is a new experience. Designed by us, facilitated by us, every month members alternate project ideas and techniques. members are required to purchase a kit each month. Not for the weak of heart, all members are challenged to step outside of their normal "Scrapbooking Comfort Zone," and try new things.

Designed for those individuals with little or no scrapbooking experience or for the seasoned scrapbooker, who wants to learn more about their craft.  This course consists of 10 classes. It is offered in two-class segments, on a semi monthly basis. Cost is $30.00 per session.   

	The curriculum of SDU® starts at the very beginning! In classes one through five, you will learn about the emotional value of scrapbooking along with the basics on how to plan and prepare for a scrapbook project. These theory classes present the foundation for beginners while exposing advanced students to view scrapbooking in a whole new light.

		1. Scrapbook Basics What is scrapbooking? Why should I scrapbook? How do I get started? This inspirational class answers all your questions on the hobby of scrapbooking.
		2. Tools of the Trade Which tools are the most important? How are these tools used? The proper use and benefits of craft tools are discussed and demonstrated in depth.
		3. Journaling Pictures do not tell a thousand words! Don't miss this important class about the profound impact of adding words to a scrapbook page.
		4. Color The concept of color theory is visually explored in detail. Learning about color's relationship to scrapbooking will empower you to use color in new and exciting ways.
		5. Layout Design Learn the principles of design structure to give you the tools to create dynamic layouts every time. Discover how photographs, journaling, titling, enhancements, lettering, shape and color work together for great pages.
	Now that the framework of theory is in place, we can build on our scrapbook structure with a series of dynamic hands-on technique classes. All of the class materials are provided... plus space is allowed in each chapter for project assembly and reference.
		6. Matting Understand how to frame or enhance a photo with our clever matting techniques. Create up to 7 projects for your binder.
		7. Stickers Learn the nuances of sticker art - from cutting and trimming to layering or adding dimension. Create over 10 sticker projects in this class.
		8. Lettering Become comfortable with various lettering techniques. This class includes plenty of practice space for letter doodling, which will reveal your own creative style. Have fun practicing with a range of different pen tips.
		9. Titles Create spectacular titles for amazing page presentations. This class features up to 6 title examples.
		10. Punches Use punches in ways you never imagined... create over a half dozen punch scenes, punched borders and other punch shapes in this class.

	Once you have graduated from the SDU® program or have taken the prerequisite courses (Color and Layout Design), you are then eligible to take these advanced classes. The Methods program features classes designed to refine your skills in specific area of interest. At the end of each Methods class, a special collectable pin is provided for you to proudly display!
		Patterned Paper Take the knowledge you acquired earlier about color theory, and apply it to working with patterned paper. You will learn about the parts that comprise the whole of patterned paper, and will discover how color and pattern work together to create a harmonious scrapbook layout!
		Embellishment Savvy Explore how embellishments can turn plain designs into one-of-a-kind keepsakes, and can easily transform the mood or meaning of an entire project. Using your acquired knowledge of layout design, you will develop the ability to view a basic layout as a blank canvas for your embellishing creativity!

NOTE: We reserve the right to cancel any class if the 6 person class minimum is not met. If that happens, we will apply your fee to a future class of your choice. Some classes are only offered at specific times. All class samples are displayed in the store along with supply lists.

In Store Crop Time
You can crop, use our computer, punches and die cut machine anytime. It's only $5 for the first 3 hours (minimum) and $1.50 per hour for each additional hour. Call first for reservations.

Free Open Crop Days
Every Wednesday is Free Open Crop Day! There is no charge on these days to come in and work!
