Welcome to the world sweet baby boy!

Thank you so very much for all the kind words, phone calls, cards, E-mails, flowers and more, that have been pouring in, since I announced the "Big News". I am overwhelmed and so very humbled by the response. It is a very bitter-sweet and emotional time for us all. Someone said Made For Memories was such an appropriate name for the store because it has been a place where memories have been made! I think I'll post a few of the many E-mails on our website, just so you can share in the joy.

As I said in my E-mail, the next few months will be filled with celebration and lots of activity. We will continue to hold classes, as many as possible, and we will unveil our closing plans as we go along. We will have display fixtures for sale, furniture, paper trays and other items available as well. We're in the process of pricing and cataloging things now. So stay tuned.

We are also participating in this years Tampa Bay Treasure Hunt, so be prepared for lots of fun and activity surrounding that, as well! See the events page of the website for details and be sure to purchase your passport now... quantities are limited!

Yes, to answer the question of many who have called... there will be a sale, however, we are waiting so that people who want to shop now, and not in the frenzy of a sale, can come and still purchase what they need, without worrying that our stock has been depleted. For you bargain hunters, you'll need to watch your E-mails for details and dates regarding our sale.

The other most frequently asked question has been, "Would I consider selling the store" and my answer is,  "NO".  It would be like putting a price tag on my children's heads.

Baby Update... Jenny is 3 weeks away from her due date... and counting! The nursery is ready, her bags are packed, and she's ready to go... We'll keep you posted on the details... anyone want to join the pool on choosing the date? If so, just send an E-mail, we're keeping track!

  Happy New Year 2010

  It is the Chinese year of the Tiger, which is a sign symbolizing courage, optimism, passion and independence. Such is the case here at Made For Memories. It will be a year of courageous change, filled with optimism and passion, for a new chapter in our lives. Maria, in The Sound Of Music said it best, "When God closes a door, somewhere He opens a window."

  After much thought, careful prayer and consideration, we share the news that "Made For Memories" will close our doors on March 31, 2010. It has been a wonderful 10 years with all of you. We have laughed together, cried together, celebrated, and sorrowed with one another. Made For Memories has never been "just a store" to me, it has been a ministry. I hope in some small way, I have impacted your lives as much as you have enriched mine.

  I want to thank you for your friendship as well as your loyal support over the years. We all know that scrapbooking is not just a creative hobby or passion for products, but rather a passion for preserving our precious memories. I hope you will continue to document those milestones in your life.

  The next 3 months will be a time of celebration as we look forward to the birth of Jenny's baby and prepare for all the changes in our lives. I hope you will share this time with us as we close the door, but open the window.
